Introduction
Thermal Electronics Corp., established in 1997, develops, designs and manufactures Thermo Electric Peltier based Appliances and components for food service, medical, and industrial applications.
We have over the last 8 years worked on developing a novel design focused for use in Thermo Electric Power Generations. The New Design (PHASE 1 completion January 09) will allow for mass produced modules completely produced on automated equipment. We believe this new design will revolutionize the mass manufacturing of Thermo Electric Modules and allow for millions of high density, high amperage modules. We have produce 100 amp modules using this new design. Our first Thermoelectric Generator Assembly Prototype just tested at 100 amp!
The design is specific to TEG Thermoelectric Power Generation using only automated equipment, but can be used in cooling as well. If successful we will also eliminate 4 steps required to produce the modules. This should allow for less resistance, increase efficiency, performance and reliability of the TEG modules. Several patents applications are being prepared to protect the IP of this new design.

Since 2001 we have been working on a new bold design for Thermo Electric Generators (TEG) which use the Seebeck Effect. This Effect basically causes electronics to move when a
hot side and cold side (Delta-T)are created across the legs of the module.
A specially designed thermo electric module is sandwiched between to conductors. As heat is absorbed into the hot side of the sandwich the thermal energy passes thru the module to the cold side, where the excess energy is carried off by either water, heat sink with fan or heat sink using natural convection. The DT or hot side less the cold side differential causes electrons to move creating electricity. Our new design is being conceived by a scientist whose experience in this field dates back to 1957. He has worked as a consultant with most of the leading thermo electric pioneers over his career and now is devoting time and energy to exploring his ideas.
The new TEG design is being conceived around the ability to completely automate the process of manufacturing the modules. It will also incorporate an optimized semiconductor material for efficiencies of between 7 to 9%. If we are successful and we will know by January 2009 our plan will be to mass manufacture the modules for installation in gas and diesel transport vehicles as a first market. The devices will be manufactured as a high current module in the range of 100 to 140 amps. These high current modules using present design technology are very expensive and difficult to design and therefore are uneconomical to produce except for military applications.
Our new designs will be the norm rather than the exception!
