TEG Power Generator & Thermoelectric Generator
We design Thermoelectric generators (TEG) power generators for large and small applications. Semi- conductor material that uses the Seebeck effect to produce power. The above unit uses a sterno to produce 4-6 watts of power @ 12 VDC. Enough power to recharge a mobile phone, or operate a radio.
We expect our new designed thermoelectric power generators (TEG), to operate with an industry leading 7 - 8% efficiency. Our goal with R&D is to increase that to 10%.
An efficiency unheard of in the industry. The first off prototype assembly is ready and was tested in February 2009. The assembly will eventually be manufactured on automated equipment. These will be the first Thermo Electric assembly to be manufactured using full automation. The first assemblies are very high power modules in the 100 to 200 amp power range. The cost to produce these assemblies should be lower than present modules in large quantities with greater power output ability. Our goal is to supply industrial facilities and Car Manufactures with turn key Thermo Electric Power Generators (TEG) systems to reclaim valuable waste heat and convert it directly into electric power, which until now would never have been consider. All Thermoelectric Power Generators (TEG) systems today work on low single digit efficiencies. We are investigating with further refinement to optimize the alloy material to allow for higher hot side exposure in the 260 to 290C range allowing for greater efficiencies and high power outputs.
Below is a Thermoelectric Power Generator (TEG) unit that produces 20 watts of power at 14 volts. The power generator uses water to cool the cold side and propane to heat the hot side. The TEG also comes with a high efficiency bonded heat sink and fan [ powered by the Thermoelectric Power Generator TEG ] when water is not available. The Thermoelectric Power Generator (TEG) is scalable from 200 to 500 watts. Efficiency is 3 - 5% depending on configuration and cooling method!
![]() We have 30 watt TEG's ( Thermoelectric Power Generator) custom made per application for purchase. Thermoelectric power generators are still very expensive to produce . What we are attempting to do is manufacture stock thermo electric power generators to bring the costs down to a reasonable level.
Above would be an example of a water to water thermoelectric power generator . There are 4 batteries of modules . Each Modules or battery has eight separate modules for a total of 32 modules. If cold side water
was at 15 -20 C and hot side water was at 120 C -140 C potential output from this configuration using the
TEG2-07125HTSS would be in the range of 180 to 200 watts continuously.
Maximum temperature hot side 180-190 degrees C for our TEG2 modules
and 260C (recommended) for our TEG1 modules.
Our TEG generators will produce 22-30 watts @ 13-14 V with a 140 -150 Degree Delta T. The units are similar to the above which requires water on the cold side for cooling @ 20-25 degrees C. If water is not used, a bonded heat sink with a fan will allow for cooling, Note: Generating Power output of the TEG will be lower with the fan heat sink assembly as Delta T will be less
